New Anti-Racism and Diversity Training to be offered in Portland and Medford

Tags:

Foundations for Faithful Ministry in a Diverse World, Course I of our new anti-racism and diversity training, will be offered in Portland and Medford this fall. This new training reflects work we have done with Eric Law of the Kaleidoscope Institute and is designed to equip lay and ordained leaders to lead competently in a diverse, changing world.  The trainings are open to everyone in the diocese and are especially recommended for congregations that currently are involved in or would like to become involved in multi-cultural ministries.  Members of diocesan leadership bodies such as Standing Committee, Board of Trustees, Diocesan Council, and the Commission on Ministry who haven’t taken our previous anti-racism training are required to attend.

The fall sessions have been scheduled for:

  • Saturday, October 13 at Grace Memorial, Portland
  • Saturday, November 17 at St. Mark, Medford

Online registration is available here.

Our Purpose:

We believe we are called to praise the living and triune God in worship, to live out lives of love and charity toward the world, and to spread the good news of the Gospel to a world hungry for God.
