Head Gardener

Rachel Holbrook joined the staff in 2006. As head gardener, she supervises the work of five part-time gardeners. Their duties are to not only maintain Elk Rock Garden’s nine acres of plants, gardens and pathways for the public to enjoy, but also to design and plant new installations in collaboration with the Elk Rock Garden Committee.

Rachel, a native Oregonian, is working on her two-year degree in horticulture at Clackamas Community College. She enjoys hiking, camping, beading and gardening. She is engaged to be married to Clay Yohn.
